Birthday Post

Yes, it's a month later, deal.

On my birthday, we went to East Heaven again. A favorite place for me, and we get a discount on the cost of the tub on my birthday. We were both under the weather, having had the flu (and a slow recovery over the month of March to come), so the soak in the tub was most welcome. I was doing my best to submerge all but my nose, sort of a sensory deprivation thing. Just relaxing into the water, trying to mostly float and let the jets do the moving.

I saw.... a spirit come to me. A water elf? She was beautiful, with a heart-shaped face and flowing hair, made of white highlights and shadow.

And then I was a hunter in deep forest. Great tall trees of immense, countless age, rocks with verdant green moss. It was night but the moon and stars shone through the branches, lighting on a rock here, moss there.

There came a clearing in the woods where the moon shone down in full on a pool, surrounded by rocks -- the handy sort that one can sit on, or use to get in and out of a pool. A tall slender woman with long silver hair stood there to one edge of the pool, inviting -- she was robed in silver garments and a low silver coronet or wreath -- hard to describe -- think the elves in LotR and you pretty much have it. A few maidens were bathing there already.

As I neared, I looked around and saw that male Elven warriors stood facing outward. Quite obviously I had been allowed in, seeing as one can hardly sneak up on folks such as these. An honor indeed, to see them and even more, Herself.

And then I was back with L in the tub. I did my observance and danced with the elements of course, same as last year. But that was a lovely additional gift, to see this other place. An excellent birthday indeed.
